Title: Mortgage.
Description:

Whereby, having recited:- firstly, PA 353/1/47 (E.G. Doggett now being of Bristol, gent.); secondly, Mr. Doggett's death heirless; thirdly, that on 29th. Aug., 1873, Thomas Browett (of Coventry, solicitor) lent Thomas William Robinson (of 5, Osborne Rd., Stroud Green Rd., London, commercial traveller) £20 (whereof £5 was repaid on 12th Jan., 1876) and the successive loans of £20, £25 and £20 on 14th. and 18th. July, 1877, and on 31st. Jan., 1878, so that T.W. Robinson owes £7/6/8 in interests and £80 in principals; fourthly, that Browett has agreed to lend T.W. Robinson another £12/3/4 on payment of the outstanding £87/6/8 (which together total £100) plus £5% p.a. interest: therefore, T.W. Robinson pledges to Browett two Fleet St.messuages (occupied by Thomas Blackwell and Thomas Salt)subject to E.G. Doggett's life-estate, with redemption on 31st. May, [1880].

 

25th. Oct., 1899. Endorsed Reconveyance whereby, having recited:- firstly PA 353/1/50; secondly that the sums specified in the main deed and PA 353/1/50 had been paid in his lifetime by T.W.Robinson to Browett; thirdly, E.G. Doggett's death on 18th. Feb., 1887; fourthly, T.W. Robinson's demise on 6th. Nov., 1897 as an intestate bachelor, leaving his father Thomas (of Coventry, almoner of Spencer's Charity), party hereto, his heir (to whom letters of administration were granted on 23rd. June, 1898): therefore, in consideration of the principals and interests, the premises are reconveyed.
