Title: Draft Licence for Supply of Water.
Description:

Whereby, having recited:- firstly, the seisin by Norman Ernest Ellis (of North End Farm, North End, Warws., farmer) and his wife Mary Grant of North End Farm, whereon is a well with pipes therefrom; secondly, that William Ledbrooke Bloxham (of North End, farmer) has a cottage at North End adjoining the farm (occupied by Stanley Fitzgerald Hammond); and thirdly, Bloxham's need of a domestic water-supply (with watering of cattle on an adjacent 4a. field); therefore, firstly, in consideration of a yearly £2 rent, the Ellises grent to Bloxham full liberty to receive sufficient water (conveyed through the mentioned pipe) to Hammond's field for the aforesaid purposes; secondly, Bloxham covenants that he will (a) pay the rent every 29th. Sept. from 1949, (b) pay usual imposts, (c) minimise damage to the licensors' property, (d) repair such damage, (e) indemnify the licensors against claims arising from damage, and (f) maintain the service-tap for water; provided, thirdly, (a) that the Ellises may revoke the licence after one year by giving six calendar months' notice, (b) that Bloxham may act likewise at any time, (c) that the licensors may stop the water-supply in time of official drought or circumstantial shortage, (d) that the existing pipes and tap are acknowledged to be the Ellises', and (e) that the licence is agreed to be revocable if three weeks' outstanding rent has not been paid after a fortnight's notice; fourthly, section 196 of the Law of Property Act, 1926 is applicable.
