Pp.15-21 On the action of acids on the salts usually called Hyperoxymuriates, by Sir H. Davy, Rome, 10 Feb. 1815; [revised copy in Faraday's hand]. Note added [by Davy] about the composition of euchlorine and about fluoric acid, 12 March.

 

Pp.30-68 On the methods that may be adopted for preventing the accidents arising from explosions of the fire damp in coal mines, by Sir H.D.; published Philosophical Tran 1816, p.1; read Nov. 1815. With note by Faraday on provenance and publication (p.30).

 

Pp.71-115 Copy of the above paper [by Faraday], with amendments and additions [by Davy]; includes figures (pp.99-100 and 107-110) and fair copies of the figures on pages 107-110 [by Faraday] (pp.111-113). Pp.224-232 Observations on the two preceding papers and on some phenomena in volcanic countries, by Sir H. Davy. Note added by Faraday (p.224) that this was published in Quarterly Journal of Science, vol. 1, p.262, May/June 1816 and appended to Faraday's account of the analysis of native lime (caustic lime).
