Description:

'Itinerarium Cambriae or a curiouse description of the paynefull Journey of Baldwyn, Archbushop of Canterburye, thoroughe Wales. Written first in latine by Sil. Giraldus Cambrensis. With the Annotations of David Powell, Doctor of Divinitye. Englished by George Owen [Harry], gentleman, 1602'. It includes (f.2) a dedication by George Owen [Harry] to George Owen, esquire, Vice-Admiral of Pembroke and Cardigan, and Deputy-Lieutenant and J.P. of Pembroke, 6 February 1602/3. Also (ff.3-5) 'The liefe of Giraldus Cambrensis gathered by Leland and Bale out of his own writinges' (ff.1-114).

Bound in 17th-century calf with clasps stamped on both covers with the armorial device of Carew.
