Lectures on the Summa of St. Thomas Aquinas dictated by Robert Bellarmine, later (1599) Cardinal, at the University of Louvain in 1574 and copied at the English College at Douai in 1577. MSS/123-4 and 126 also contain lectures on the Summa by D. Isambertus, professor at the University of Paris, in 1618

Lectures by Bellarmine on the Summa pars prima quaestiones 1-114 (pp.1-234).

 

Lectures on the Summa by Isambertus. On p.351 appears, 'Dictabat subtilissimus theologia scholastica et controversiarum doctor et professor regius D. Isambertus in alma academia Parisiensis anno 1618 die Martis 17o'. (pp.235-351). Marked 'S.8'.

 

Old shelfmark #I.Z.16 Fol.vol.37. The name 'William Morecotte' is scribbled on p.x. Morcott was a seminary priest sent to England in June 1581 and is believed to have been executed subsequently (T.K. Knox, First and second diaries of the English College, Douay, 1878, 28, 180, 293).
