Administrative / biographical background:

Aspen House Open Air School opened in Christchurch Road, Streatham in 1925. In 1978 it moved to new purpose-built premises in Kennington Park Gardens. The school closed in 1995. 'Not just another brick in the wall', a booklet produced in 1995 to celebrate 70 years of the school, listed at LBL/ED/AH/7/8, contains memories of the school from the 1930s and details of its history.
