Title: Letter from Edward Wood to John Pack.
Description:

1) Re oats. Has received 5 quarters. Asks Pack to buy another 20 quarters from Mr. Paul Sante at £15 "unles you finde the markett fallinge at Bare Key, but if you finde the markett risinge then buy his though you give hime 15/6d. or 16/- the quarter."

 

2) Requesting a special terce of claret from Mr. Sante, & offering him a basket of fruit.

 

3) Mentions marriage negotiations with Dicer. "I did not expect such severe hard termes from him but seeinge the younge couple ar like to be well pleased I am better satisfyed."

 

4) Pack is to approach Sir Andrew Ricard, Sir Wm. Rader and Mr. Maurice Thompson re stopping legal proceedings begun by Mr. Thomas Andrewes, Wood's great adversary and now dead.

 

5) Sends respects to "my sister, and Mr. William and Joseph" [William and Joseph Stapley].
