Microfilm copy of a ts diary for January 1925 - February 1927 covering his troopship voyages to and from the Far East and his appointment as the torpedo officer of the submarine depot ship HMS AMBROSE on the China Station and giving a straightforward account of his daily routine; a ts diary for January - May 1930 kept during his appointment as the torpedo officer of the battleship HMS WARSPITE, the flagship of the Mediterranean Fleet, with some interesting references to tactical exercises and other naval matters; a ts account (6pp), dated April 1932 and written during his service in the cruiser HMS KENT on the China Station, of the Sino-Japanese clashes in Shanghai; two lists of officers and ratings serving in the cruiser HMS UGANDA (June - September 1943) and some notes on the operation of the naval Turn Round Control Organisation (TURCO) during the Normandy landings (1944); and an extensive collection of reports of proceedings on the Korean War compiled during his appointment as the Flag Officer Second in Command, Far East Station (June 1950 - April 1951), together with four official Admiralty accounts of British Commonwealth Naval Operations in Korea (June 1950 - June 1952) and correspondence concerning the official naval staff history on the Korean War (1961) and a proposed book on the Inchon landings (1963).
