Official orders, reports and other documents relating to his appointment as the officer in charge of a demolition party responsible for denying port facilities in the Netherlands to the invading German forces (May - July 1940); ms diary covering his command of the cruiser HMS DURBAN in the Far East (October 1941 - March 1942) together with related papers and correspondence concerning the ship's operations at the time of the fall of Singapore, including an important letter from Rear Admiral E J Spooner; reports of proceedings and other official documents relating to the passage of convoys to and from North Russia, and the operations of the 3rd and 23rd Destroyer Flotillas in support of the convoys (February - May 1944 and February - March 1945); report of proceedings of the 23rd Destroyer Flotilla off the Normandy beachhead including a night action with German minesweepers (August 1944); collection of official papers (1940 - 1944) assembled on the conduct and development of anti-submarine operations during the Second World War and papers concerning an Admiralty review of post-war anti-submarine organisation (August - November 1943); two reports on the political and military situation in Shanghai and the possible evacuation of the British community (1948 - 1949); letters from Admiral of the Fleet Earl Mountbatten of Burma on naval matters and their service together in the Mediterranean from 1953 (September 1950 - October 1956); a few letters and presscuttings concerning Cazalet's service as Allied Chief of Staff to Commander in Chief, Mediterranean (1953 - 1955); an official report and associated documents bearing on his chairmanship of the Servicing Craft Working Party (1957); photocopies of letters of congratulation received on his promotion to flag rank (1950); and microfilm copies of an official report and other papers relating to his command of the cruiser HMS LONDON during the Yangtse incident (1949) and to the making of the film about the escape of HMS AMETHYST (1956), of American reports and Cazalet's notes on Operation Cure, the 44th atomic test in the Nevada desert (1955), and of a number of articles relating to commands and appointments which he held during and after the Second World War.
