Thanking him for Mary Anna's school fees. Although not very able at school she is hardworking and well conducted. Her health had been delicate and she was 5ft 6ins tall at 15 years. He begs Mr. Turvile to allow her to remain another year at Spetisbury so that she may enjoy the maximum benefit. His wife has been ill for the last year but is now improving. He too has been unwell and their son is now at home with them because they cannot find him a situation.
