On his mother's current dislike of Kiddington because of the Gore business, and the Turviles plan to winter in Bath; he adds further comments on a successful fishing expedition with his son to South Wales, and the Gloucester Music week "Madame Mara and all the best London Performers exerted themselves greatly, and realy the Messiah on Friday exceeded anything of the kind I had ever heard. So grand an orchestra in such a noble place as is our Cathedral had a surprizing fine effect, and to show you what grand People we are in Gloucester no less Personages than the Dukes of Norfolk and Beauford, Bishop of Gloucester, Lords Bathurst and De Clifford stood begging with plates in their hands for the Poor at the Church door voilla!"
