Description:

G. Stapleton to FFT. Bosworth Hall

Happy to hear parents' criticisms of his school. Provides the boys with good meat, bread and beer. Always the best materials are supplied to the brewers. Meat is of the best sort with no hash as the boys suspect its quality. Says Lord Petre could not criticise the cleanliness of the house as he didnt go further than the refectory. Refuses Master Turvile the privilege of going to the further bounds [for walks] as this is reserved for the schools. The new extension to the school is almost ready.
