Elizabeth Turvile, to FFT, Bosworth Hall (her father)

 

Has bought a set of Clements Music Lessons. Counts her time regularly. Had heard from her brother with his news about home. Made her first communion on Low Sunday after a 3 days retreat and was very happy about it. Is being allowed to use indian ink for drawing. 21 pupils at her(convent) school and more expected. Her cousin very nice to her.

 

With postscript by C. M. Alipia Talbot saying that Eliza had been unwell but the doctor had seen her and she was better. Sends her love to her sister (Mrs. Turvile). Says that every town is arming against the French.
