Description:

Established in Manchester in 1853, Craven Brothers Ltd. later became concentrated at Reddish near Stockport. It acquired a high reputation for steel work cranes, railway cranes, wharf cranes and steam breakdown cranes.

 

When acquired by Herbert Morris Ltd. c.1931, the Crane Division was transferred to Loughborough where it continued in the production of heavy duty cranes for steel mills and steam breakdown cranes.
