From: William White, vicar of Orpington Of the vicarage of Orpington, in the rural deanery of Shoreham and the immediate jurisdiction of Canterbury Cathedral. The resignation is made to the ordinary of the place or anyone else having power to accept it [presumably the prior and chapter of Canterbury Cathedral Priory, acting sede vacante]. Given in the churchyard of St Margaret's church, Westminster [Middlesex]. Notarial attestation and sign of Andrew Cothull', clerk, of Winchester diocese, notary public, who wrote the document. Witnesses: Mgr John de Bedwardine, archdeacon of Hereford; 'Dominus' Giles de Wyngreworth, canon of Chichester Endorsed with note that this resignation was dealt with ('expedio') at Canterbury on 20 Mar 1375 in late 14th cent hands.
