The following records were deposited by the N.U.A.A.W. area office at Maidstone. The deposit contains mostly files on union members, but also includes minute books for area branch meetings, copies of 'Kent Farmer' magazine, union circulars, memos and reports on conferences. The files of union members are a representative sample of the original deposit and portray a union which dealt with a variety of problems for its members, for instance unfair dismissals, industrial accidents, redundancy and accommodation problems. The union also gave advice and assistance on matters not related to work.
