Administrative / biographical background:

Services were first held in Croxley Green from 1866 at the home of a Mr Pierce. A site for a chapel in New Road was purchased a year later and the building opened on 16 February 1868. It was rebuilt with the addition of a Sunday School Room in 1893. An organ was installed in 1942. A new church hall built largely by the members themselves was opened in January 1968 as part of the centenary celebrations.
