Title: Railway Plans
Description:

These plans do not form a complete set of plans of the railway lines of the Great Western Railway Company in Herefordshire but are chance survivals from the records of the Divisional Area Manager at Shrewsbury. In this list the plans have been grouped according to the railway line to which they relate and not under the heading of the managing Company. All the lines covered by these plans were wholly or partially managed by the Great Western Railway Company, the Shrewsbury and Hereford Railway, land the Hereford Loop, being jointly the property of the Great Western and the London and North Western Railways. These plans also include a plan of the Leominster Canal, dated 1858.

Several of the plans are undated, and of these the majority probably date from the 1880s. Of the remainder, No. 17, which shows the line of the Leominster to Kington Railway, probably dates from about 1860, while Nos. 12-16, which were all in one bundle, appear to date from about 1930.
