Speculates on Regent, state of Ireland, prospect of bloodshed in Portugal in 1811, and later on American War (1812-14) and the Peace. In 1811 talks of suspension of payments by the Banks, as crisis is looming. Mentions death of Charles Sturt, M.P., in 1812. With scrap of letter written to T.C. Colfox in 1801.

In February 1812, interesting account of remedies taken for the Regent's illness. (He suffered from numbness in his arm, and every day an ox was killed and as it fell he would thrust his naked arm up to the shoulder in the animal's paunch to restore circulation: so far, that is after two months, this has had no effect). Copy letter of T.C. Colfox states that he can no longer support Mr. Sturt since Sturt does not support civil and religious liberty as he once promised, 1817.

From J. Christie. Copy letter T.C. Colfox sent to him in 1820, asking for advice on stock problems; where can he re-invest his English stock abroad? Does not trust the governments of the Holy Alliance and suggests Spain as reasonably stable. The reign of George III was 'wicked, cruel, iniquitous' and pauperism is now increasing apace. John Christie wrote in 1831 to pay his debts, and there is a copy of William Colfox's reply for his father, who expresses hope for England now liberal principles are gaining ground. Another copy letter from William Colfox, mainly a dictation by his father of his Unitarian principles. T.C. Colfox sees Harriet Martineau as the prophet of Unitarianism, 1832.
