William Clemence, James Rowse, Thomas Vivian, James Peters, all of St. Austell, labs., and Constance Bray and Mary Read, both of St. Austell, singlewomen, all indicted for a riot, and for assault on James Davey: all found guilty of the riot, but only William Clemence found guilty of assault: for William Clemence one month in Bodmin gaol and severe whipping; James Rowse, James Peters and Thomas Vivian each received fourteen days in Bodmin gaol and severe whipping; the two women each received one month's hard labour in Bodmin gaol.
