(13 Hen VII) Lease of wood, for term of seven years Sir John Arundell, knight = (1) Piers Beuyll, John Clercke, Thomas Tregean and Nicholas Clercke = (2)-(5) Consideration: £40. (1) to (2)-(5), 40 acres of his wood called Trelowith Wode (parish of St Mewan), on the north-east side of the 'water lete that goth thourgh the seyd wode'; if there are not 40 acres on that side of the leat, then they may make up the number 'in the beste place that they can chuse of all the remayn of the seyd wode'; for (2)-(5) to hold, together with the underwood, to fell it during the term of 7 years, with licence to make 'pytte places' there for coaling, and to cut and dig anything else necessary, and free access for beasts (with pasture) and for carriage. (1) shall pay tithes to the parson of St Mewan for the 40 acres, and binds himself in the sum of £50 to keep this agreement. 4 seals. |
