Details of D 39
Reference: D 39
Title: BRITWELL COURT, BURNHAM
Description:

Deeds relating to the parish of Burnham

Note. In many of the above leases appears the following clause: "and also use of the conduit near the Well Barn house and of the water running therefrom or from the spring head through the pipes to the said capital messuage (Britwell House). This presumably refers to the Brit Well marked on O.S. maps as lying in a field on the east side of Green Lane opposite Pipers Croft now occupied by D.M. Davies and Sons, of Slough. The field in question is now occupied by houses, but the well, an old land mark and source of the place named Britwell, is being preserved by the owner Mr. Bunce, of Bunce Bros., Builders, Burnham.
