Sir Charles Russell's School, Swallowfield is first mentioned in Kelly's Directories in 1883. John T. Russell was Master by 1895. It is not clear when the school closed, but in 1911 John Russell appears in Kelly as Master of the Council School in Swallowfield. Individuals identified on the photographs include John Russell and his wife, Eleanor and Mary Sellwood, and Beatrice Peck.]
