[The League was set up in 1987. It was divided into three (later five) divisions of ability across the three counties. Initially there was the possibility of promotion to, or relegation from, the South Clubs League and the National Clubs League.

 

The League was administered by a committee of representatives from each county. Individual clubs were affiliated.]
