Hugh Eglisfield and John Doughtie, mercers, Aldermen; Henrie Hobson, inhoulder; Olliver Snell, mercer; John Sharpe, barber-chirurgion; Thomas Hurt, grocer; Thomas Griffith, gouldsmith; and George Holmes of the city of Salisburie in the county of Wilts', mercer; feoffees; to John Bevan, uphoulster:

 

[Recites Lease of 20 October of the same year to Peter Hill, uphoulster, for life with remainder to his grandson John, at £6 yearly rent, of a messuage described hereafter]; in cons. of £5 English paid:

 

A messuage in High Street between the messuage sometime the land of William Parphey, vintner, and now of his son George, on S., and the messuage now of Robert Deane, notary public, sometime held by Lawrence Wilson and now held or occupied by Walter Greene, uphoulster, on N.; extending from the street in front on E. to part of Parphey's messuage behind on W. With shops, cellars, solars, chambers, rooms, easements, profits etc.

 

For remainder of the term of 99 years after death of Peter or John Hill or the survivor, or the life of William son of John Bevan. Yearly rent £6 English at Bristol quarter-days. Tenant covenants to repair. Feoffees' right to repossess for 30 days' arrears. Warranty for term. Note of alternate sealing.
