CAB 195 Cabinet Secretary's notebooks

The Cabinet Secretary's notebooks are a more detailed record of the Cabinet meetings that use the same referencing system as CAB 23, 65 and 128. Only a small number of notebooks have been released, and they do not always provide a complete run of documents for the government or time period in question. Due to the manner in which the Secretaries kept their notebooks, there is not necessarily a clean break between governments; for example, one notebook covers the end of the wartime coalition, the 1945 caretaker government, and the first year or so of Attlee's Labour government. This means that when following links to notebooks for specific governments there may be unavoidable overlaps between records of different cabinets.
