Throughout the day you'll find activities for all ages, from song and storytelling sessions, origami tutoring, and an interactive theatre experience, to crafting paper versions of iconic records for our collaborative art project, Fold Your Archive.

Programme

Here are the activities you'll find on the day (though it's possible it may change). They're all free with your £5 entry ticket, but for some of them you'll need to book your place. Fold Your Archives with A Line Art

Create paper versions of some of the incredible items in our collection to help grow a large scale paper archive, as part of this collaborative art installation run by A Line Art.

Time Travel Club: The Real Deal about Seals

Discover more about the incredible royal seals in our collection and make your own with this hands-on Time Travel Club session.

Storytelling and Song with Pop 'n' Olly

Take part in colourful crafting or a song and storytelling sessions celebrating the joy of diversity, difference and everything that makes people unique with Olly from Pop ‘n’ Olly.

Agent Rendezvous with Time Will Tell

Find a secret agent from the Second World War hiding in plain sight and meet their handler in this interactive theatre experience by Time Will Tell.

Origami with Toshiko Kurata

Craft crowns and other beautiful origami creations with artist Toshiko Kurata.

Face Painting with Artycat Faces

Get a majestic make over with Artycat face painting.

Craft Club: Coronation Celebration

Make your own colourful coronation inspired artworks to take home.

Things to note

  • Quiet break out spaces will be available on the First Floor.
  • We don't have childcare facilities, so you'll need to stay with your children at all times during the event.
  • A ticket to this event does not guarantee entry to the MI5: Official Secrets exhibition. There may be queues and a wait to enter the exhibition and last entry is at 15:00.
  • You are very welcome to bring your own food and drinks to the festival day as well as purchased refreshments from our vendors, Maids of Honour. Our grounds are a lovely space to share a picnic lunch!
