Time Travel Club: music through history

Explore the history of music and have a go at making your own instruments!

Date
26 May 2026
Location
The National Archives, Kew

Explore the history of music and have a go at making your own instruments!

Perfect for curious kids who love Horrible Histories, these hands-on workshops bring the past to life! Budding historians will get up close with real documents and artefacts from The National Archives incredible collection, exploring stories from across 1,000 years of history. Each session includes original items from our collection and a creative activity inspired by the past, with something to make and take home.

There are two bookable Time Travel Club sessions taking place in one of our learning spaces. Whilst parents do not need to book a ticket, due to limited capacity at our craft stations we do ask that you let us know the approximate number of adults in your group at point of sale.
