About
Adrian’s role is part of the Partnership for Transatlantic Slavery Scholarship, Archiving and Global Exchange (PASSAGE). Funded by Lloyd’s Register Foundation, PASSAGE sits within Collections Research, under the Research, Grants and Academic Engagement (RGAE) department at The National Archives.
His work on PASSAGE is a cataloguing enhancement project, focusing primarily on an unsorted, miscellaneous collection known as the Detached Papers, a key subseries for the study of transatlantic slavery from the 1750s to the 1820s.
His research background is in colonial and postcolonial histories and he has a growing interest in histories of government archival practice.
