Online events

How do I access the live event?

We use Vimeo to run our online events.
To access the live event, click on the link in the Eventbrite confirmation email you received when you booked the event. Vimeo will open in your web browser.

The video hasn’t started

If the live event hasn’t started at the advertised start time, please refresh the browser window.
Please try refreshing your browser or clicking the play button on the event. If that doesn’t work, try closing the browser window and clicking the link in your confirmation email.

I missed the live event – how can I find a recording?

A recording is available for 48 hours after the event. You will be emailed a link to this after the event. Click the link in this email to view the recording in your web browser.

48 hours have passed – can I still watch the talk?

Recordings are available for 48 hours only after the published time of the talk, unless otherwise stated.

How can I add subtitles?

You can enable live subtitles by clicking on the ‘CC’ button at the bottom of the video player. ‘CC’ stands for ‘Closed Captions’.

I have no sound

When you join the event, you may have to click on the sound icon at the bottom of the video to unmute the sound. If there is still no sound, please make sure that you have got your speakers turned up to full volume.
