Samuel joined The National Archives in 2024 as a Cataloguing Officer for the National Farm Survey project. He works on cataloguing maps and forms relating to the National Farm Survey of England and Wales, 1941–1943. His work also includes supporting other aspects of the project, including digitisation and research, to make the 30,000 maps and over 300,000 farm records accessible to the public.
Samuel’s background is in 20th-century history, including conducting research into motorsport history and 20th-century motorsport photography.
