Other information

Founded by Augustinian nuns from the Park House community in 1910 as an un-denominational voluntary hospital, Waterloo came under the administrative care of an elected committee in 1922, with internal management and nursing care remaining with the nuns. In 1937 the hospital transferred to public ownership.
