Other information

Present building opened 1928, with outpatient dept and physiotherapy gym added c. 1954. Major surgery was undertaken until the mid 1980s when the theatres were condemned. The main hospital was refurbished as a community psychiatric hospital and opened fully in 1997. The outpatient dept is leased to Queen Mary's Sidcup and runs a full complement of clinics. Of interest is the Underground Hospital constructed in 1939, which currently functions as the X-Ray Dept.
