In 1929 there were 60 beds, on average occupied by 53 patients. Beds could be endowed for £1000 and cots for £500, and there were already 14 of each of these. In a year the hospital treated 1349 inpatients and 5240 outpatients. Patients were admitted by subscriber's letter, and provided a change of linen. Subscribers of 10s 6d were entitled to two outpatient letters, and then to four outpatient letters for every additional £1 subscribed.
