Other information
Rufford was always run directly from Ormskirk District General Hospital as another ward, mostly pre-convalescent surgery cases (information from Richard Green, former administrator at ODGH, Feb 2000). Rufford Hall and its estate were purchased in Lancashire County Council in 1920 and in 1926 Rufford Sanatorium was opened
