What to expect from the session
During the session delivered onsite in your school, students will spend time with a soldier from the Post Office Rifles (played by an historical actor) as he talks about his involvement in the conflict, his experience of injury and medical treatment and the impact on his loved ones back at home.
Online resources about the GPO and the role of its employees during the conflict, will also be made freely available to schools. These are designed to support the GCSE curriculum, covering the First World War and the inter-war period.
