When you are viewing a live UK government website, you can use our bookmarklet to see archived versions of that site (if we have it archived).

The web archive bookmarklet is a small piece of code that allows your web browser to redirect you to the archive version of the website you’re looking at.

How to use the bookmarklet:

1. Make sure the bookmarks bar is visible in your web browser.
2. Drag the bookmarklet above to your browser’s bookmarks bar.
3. Visit a UK government website such as GOV.UK.
4. Click the bookmarklet in your bookmarks bar.
