FALMOUTH CARTER DISCARDS GRAVEL FOR SEAWEED

John Pitts, of Lister-street, Falmouth, was, at the Borough Police Court, on Thursday, summoned for contravening the order respecting the removal of sand from beaches- Messrs. C.L. Fox and R.B. Fox stated that they saw a cart bearing defendant’s name and with gravel in it – Defendant said that he went to Swanpool Beach for gravel, but saw a constable, and not knowing whether he was in the right or not, tipped out the gravel and took a load of seaweed instead.- Dismissed with a warning.
