This is a letter from Elizabeth I, ordering
the treasurer and chamberlains of the Exchequer
to give up any royal treasure in their custody,
so that this could be expended on ordnance
(military materials and supplies). The ordnance was destined for
St Michael’s Mount, Cornwall.
