BDOC is a digital signature format developed in 2014 to replace the old DDOC (DigiDoc) digital signature format in Estonia. Compared to DDOC, an important modification is that a .bdoc file is in fact a ZIP container with the signed files, the signatures and the protocol control information and can be opened by any program that recognises the ZIP format.
This format can be identified via a container signature in DROID version 6 or later. The PRONOM database cannot currently represent container signatures.
