| Description |
The EMLX file format, introduced by Apple for MacOS in 2005 with Mac OS X Tiger (10.4) in Mail version 2, is used to store email files in Apple Mail. It is a proprietary variation of the EML format, with added byte count and property list (plist) features to record email metadata. Each email is stored as an individual EMLX file, with the byte count at the beginning indicating the email’s size. |
