MyPage search uses the same search engine as our Global Search facility, but customises results according to your interests. You must have registered and be signed-in to the website to use MyPage search.
MyPage search "learns" about your interests from search results that you have clicked-on. As it builds up this information from your searching activity, search results will become tailored towards your topics of interest.
You can control whether MyPage search is applied to search results or not. If you switch it off, it will not tailor results to your interests.

How do I switch MyPage search on and off?
You can switch MyPage search on and off by clicking on the 'MyPage search is ON/OFF' control in the search box. MyPage search continues to learn from your searching activity though, and can be re-activated by switching it back on.
How do I reset the information that MyPage search has learnt from my viewed items?
You can reset the information that MyPage search has learnt from your previously viewed items. If you do this, the personalisation of search results will also be reset.
To do this, click on the "Clear MyPage search" link. MyPage search will then re-start learning from your search activity.
