Ashwell Wood had a distinct illustrative style that featured in many books and magazines, notably working as Eagle's longest running artist.

His intricately detailed annotated sketches, often featuring a familiar ‘cut-away' section, were not only artistically clean and sharp but also educational, offering clear explanations to complicated scenes.
