The National Archives is no longer able technically to support the Valuation Office map finder tool. However, a comprehensive online Ordnance Survey map sheet finding facility has now been developed by the National Library of Scotland (NLS).
By following the instructions given in our research guide (section 4), the NLS facility enables you to identify online an Ordnance Survey map sheet number for subsequent lookup in The National Archives’ online catalogue, Discovery. You can then obtain a document reference and order a Valuation Office Survey map.
