Anthony will share the dazzling stories of remarkable individuals who dared to challenge society’s expectations, in conversation with Daniel Gosling, collections specialist at The National Archives.

From the clientele of Mother Clap’s coffeehouse to two exiled women who set up a utopian homestead in a remote Welsh cottage, and the celebrated Chevalier d’Eon – soldier, diplomat and spy – these stories reveal the tragedies and joys of queer life in Georgian Britain.
