"British coastal artillery" by Terence Cuneo, Pre-1944

Catalogue ref: INF 3/21Links to the Catalogue

A very recognisable Cuneo in coloured oil, depicting the crew of a British coastal artillery piece loading their gun. In the background another gun possibly engages the German-occupied French coast or an unseen enemy. The white cliffs in the background appear to be of Dover.

The piece was used in a ‘Help Britain Finish the Job' campaign aimed at the United States and the Dominions.
