Image for a series on the resistance movement, depicting a man and a woman in a cellar listening to the radio. The BBC regularly used to send coded messages to those in the resistance movement. In Nazi-occupied countries all radios had to be handed in to the German forces – anyone caught listening to a foreign radio station was arrested and sent to a concentration camp.
