Ditty Box – Described as ‘The Navy's Own Magazine', Ditty Box was produced by HMSO for the Admiralty from July 1944 to January 1949. A monthly magazine, its aim was ‘to further the morale of the Navy and keep the personnel more conversant with public, topical affairs and general news' (ADM 116/5644)
