A letter from Winston Churchill to Stanley Baldwin (5 December 1936), describing the great strain on King Edward VIII. It asks the Prime Minister to allow the King more time to make a decision. The letter concludes,

'It would be a most cruel & wrong thing to extort a decision from him in his present state.'
