Women to build aeroplanes

By 1918, the escalating role of air power in the First World War - symbolised in Britain by the creation of the RAF on 1 April - created new employment opportunities in the aeroplane construction industry. In this colourful poster, women are urged to 'apply at once' for some of these posts. Benefits include 'free training and maintenance allowances'.
